In classes I & II, the students are introduced to formal schooling. They follow a regular time–table for both scholastic and co-scholastic activities. Their reading, writing, speaking and analytical skills are developed through various activities, like integrating content with e-learning modules and educational videos, helping students acquire knowledge from the unknown to the known and involving them through dialogues, sharing experience through activities which include roleplay, projects, etc. It is at the early primary stage that mathematical concepts are introduced using stickers, blocks, cards, number tags and Abacus Brain Gym exercises. English language skills are enhanced through vocabulary building games like scrabble, word chain, crossword, etc. Environmental Studies is introduced for the first time through activities like nature walks and simple experiments, etc. Stories having a moral lesson which inspires the students to be good human beings are read out and explained in the class.

Assessment and Evaluation –Classes III to V
“Success in life depends upon two things: Vision of seeing the invisible opportunities and mission of solving the impossible things.”
The entire education process at the Primary Wing of Indraprastha is designed in such an innovative way that the priceless treasures of creativity, knowledge and curiosity unearth from the hearts of the young children. Our multi- dimensional curriculum stimulates each child to emerge from the cocoon and blossom into confident individual with vibrant mind ever yearning to learn and raring to march ahead.
We constantly upgrade our methodologies by adopting new tools and framework inside the classrooms that disseminate knowledge which is engaging and interactive. Evaluation here is not to test knowledge but to broaden the horizons of knowledge. We follow a Comprehensive and Continuous Assessment plan to chart the academic growth of our learners.
The assessment during the academic session is divided into two terms. In each term there are two Periodic Assessments. Each assessment comprises of written assessment wherein children are assessed for their conceptual clarity, critical and logical thinking and comprehension skills. Apart from the pen paper assessments children are motivated to conduct research through projects and prepare presentations. They are graded for their conceptual clarity and presentation skills in the process infusing confidence in the young learners .
Children are also graded for flip classroom which is incorporated to augment peer learning and help the facilitators to have an insight of the grasp of concepts by the students. We follow an integrated approach to learning. Children are given an opportunity to unleash their creativity and imagination across all subjects through Art Integrated Learning.
The paranoia of assessments is not infused in the young children. The concepts taught are reinforced through well-crafted illustrative worksheets, quizzes, experiments and comprehensive resources. The assessments are done on daily basis and the progress of each child is closely monitored and analysed.
Children are continuously assessed for their reading, speaking and listening skills in Language Development Programme . The learners not only develop factual, inferential and extrapolative skills but attain fluent command over the language.
Each term culminates into appraisals and performance analysis where in parents are provided with the feedback of the progress of each child. Remedial measures are adopted and learning deficiencies are addressed to ensure that each child works to its fullest potential and climb up the academic ladder.
The assessments are carried out with the perceptive that the virtue of honesty, sincerity and competitive spirit, instilled by the institution, is reflected in the performance of the students.
