Interhouse Activity

Students at Indraprastha INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL are all divided into four houses namely Fraternity, Integrity, Nobility and Unity. House activities are conducted regularly, on pre-decided dates. Activities and/or competitions are conducted on a wide range of topics, which all aim at honing the co-scholastic aptitude of students. Students have a specific house T-shirt indicating the house they belong to. On every Wednesday, the morning assembly is conducted by the House-on-duty. During sports days, the house-wise march past is a keenly contested event. All these develop team spirit and enhance a sense of belonging.

Fraternity is a sense of common brotherhood of all of being one. It is a principle that promotes solidarity in social life. It is the essence of peaceful coexistence in the society. The blue colour of Fraternity House symbolizes inspiration, sincerity and spirituality.

Integrity is the essence of everything successful. It is what we do, what we say, and what we say we do. Integrity is doing the right thing, even if nobody is watching. The green colour of Integrity house symbolizes self-respect, well being and balance. It also means learning, growth and harmony.

The red colour of Nobility House is symbolic of prosperity, joy, courage and sacrifice. True nobility lies in being superior to your former self. Nobility is exempt from fear.

The orange colour of Unity House symbolizes endurance, vitality and creativity. Orange is associated with the benign warmth of the sun. Like the energy of a bright sunny day, it brings clarity and awareness. As boundaries diffuse in this ever-shrinking world, unity becomes even more necessary. Only when we unite in spirit, can we truly cope with the challenges we face.

World health day: Health is the real Wealth; April 10, 2019

At Indraprastha International School a special assembly was organized by the Unity House to commemorate the world health day. The students were made aware about the different ways and  importance of the overall development and maintenance of one’s health. The concept of a healthy mind residing in a healthy body was explained very effectively through a speech that laid stress on the mental health for the overall happiness and enrichment of one’s life. A poem enactment by the tiny tots in lovely dresses depicting the differences between the healthy and junk food highlighted the impact of our diets on our health and sent home the message of choosing wisely while eating. The students were motivated to choose to be mentally and physically healthy, happy and stress free.
